Chris is a Founding Principal of Balsam Green, where he focuses on the overall vision and manages key relationships for the firm. Prior to founding Balsam Green, Chris was a partner at one of the nation’s largest developers and owners of affordable housing.
His portfolio spans the country and includes a variety of complex financial strategies to turn around challenged properties. Chris divides his time between Arizona and Wisconsin, where he lives with his wife and son. Both he and his wife are heavily involved in Down syndrome advocacy, as well as supporting services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Mark is a Co-Founder of Balsam Green, where he focuses on the overall investment strategy and operations of the firm. His career in real estate spans market-rate, affordable, historic preservation, retail, and public/private partnerships. He was most recently a partner at a boutique development and property management group.
His emphasis on assembling the right team to execute complex transactions ensures projects close successfully and achieve their expected returns.
Mark is based in Minnesota, where he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and kids, attending live music events, visiting local parks, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers.
Jamie is the Senior Vice President of Asset Management Operations, overseeing the operational and financial performance of the firm’s multifamily portfolio. With over 20 years of experience in LIHTC and affordable housing, Jamie leads asset management strategy, third-party property management oversight, and investor and lender reporting.
She brings a proven track record of optimizing asset performance, executing value-driven asset strategies across diverse ownership structures, and aligning operations with long-term ownership objectives.
Jamie is based in Minnesota, where she enjoys spending time with her daughter and family, traveling, cooking, baking, and gardening.
Matt serves as Director of Acquisitions and Development at Balsam Green, where he focuses on sourcing, structuring, and executing multifamily development and acquisition opportunities nationwide. Prior to joining Balsam Green, Matt held development and acquisition roles with Dominium and Elmington Capital Group, where he played a key role in the development of approximately 2,000 housing units across Georgia, North Carolina, Florida, Maryland, Minnesota, and Colorado.
His experience spans site selection, capital structuring, public-private partnerships, and navigating complex financing programs to deliver high-quality housing communities.
Based in Atlanta, Matt enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and their dog, exploring new restaurants, golfing, and spending time with friends and family.
